Tracking scattered storms for Thursday

An approaching cold front has triggered a few showers this morning

DETROIT - Rain and thundershowers are still questionable through your Thursday afternoon.

We are tracking a large area of rain moving through southern Wisconsin and heading into Michigan through the afternoon. But, the track of the rain is trending south of us.

That means if it peels off to the south, all we are expecting is hit and miss thundershowers today with highs in the low to mid 80s.  But if the rain keeps moving east without turning south, we could get more of a mid afternoon soaking across SE Michigan and Southern Ontario.

Behind the cold front, temps cool heading into the weekend. We will have a few comfortable sleeping nights ahead and you can likely give the AC a rest this weekend. Lows will be in the upper 50s Friday through Sunday and highs will reach near 80 degrees.
