Valentine's Day rain and snow

Highs near 40, scatterred snow showers overnight

DETROIT – Mother Nature's says "Happy Valentine's Day!" to Detroit and Southeast Michigan with some light rain and snow during the day.  The early morning will be cloudy and cold with temps in the upper 20s.  By the second half of the morning rush hour, light snow and rain arrive.

Streets will be wet and slick through the lunch hour, but temperatures will continue to rise.  Afternoon highs will be near 40, and chilly light rain will fall during the afternoon rush hour and dinner time.  Anyone with evening plans will not need to cancel them, but adding extra time to remain prompt is a good idea.
