Metro Detroit Weather: Very warm, steamy Thursday evening

Thursday evening temps near 80

DETROIT – Hot time in Detroit Thursday! After highs near or above 90°F, temps are in the 80s in the evening. More hot weather for the first day and weekend of fall.

Thursday evening will be very warm and steamy for the Tigers-Twins game at Comerica Park. Remember to stay hydrated while cheering. First pitch is at 7:10 p.m. ET.

Showers and thunderstorms fade away in Livingston, western Oakland and southern Genesee Counties after the 7:32 p.m. ET sunset.

Thursday night will be fair and warm. Air conditioners may need to remain "On." Overnight lows in the middle and upper 60s. 

Autumn begins whether it's hot or not. Well, the heat continues Friday. Skies will be mostly sunny much of the day with afternoon temps near 90 degrees. Another chance of isolated showers and storms by the time fall starts at 4:02 p.m. ET.

Saturday and Sunday keep above average temps. Daytime highs will be in the middle and upper 80s both days. Lions fans can tailgate and gather to cheer and celebrate with Honolulu blue T-shirts, not sweatshirts.

Monday and Tuesday will be mostly sunny and very warm with highs between 80 and 85 degrees.
