Warming trend for Detroit's weekend

Near 60 Friday, 70 next week

DETROIT - Friday morning will be fair and cold with temps starting near 30 just outside Detroit. It will be near 35 in the Motor City. However, the afternoon will be mostly sunny with a southwest wind lifting the temperature to a mild 60 degrees across all of Southeast Michigan.

Friday night will be mostly clear and cool with lows in the low 40s. Mother Nature will set a beautiful stage at Comerica Park for the Detroit Tigers when they go against the Atlanta Braves.

The weekend will be warmer and remain dry. Partly to mostly sunny skies will reign with highs in the middle 60s Saturday and in the upper 60s Sunday.

The stretch of blue sky weather will continue early next week with higher daytime temps. It will be near 70 or more next Monday through Wednesday.
