Weather forecast: Mild morning in the 50s across Metro Detroit

DETROITIt almost feels like Autumn around Metro Detroit this morning as lows have dipped into the upper 40s and low 50s for many suburbs surrounding the city.

And, some patchy fog has appeared as a result of the cool air. We will warm very quickly all day today with plenty of August sun and light winds WNW 5-10 mph. Look for highs into the upper 70s and certainly more low 80s.

Wednesday, Thursday forecast

Wednesday and Thursday are very similar to our forecast today with sun and low 80s. Morning lows will be in the 50s for most and warm up just a little from highs on Tuesday. We also add just a touch of humidity and that will bring a few extra afternoon clouds as skies stay mostly sunny mid week.

Friday forecast

Friday will be our next chance for rain and thundershowers. Right now, it looks like late morning and into the afternoon for shower chances around Metro Detroit and we are hopeful during this dry stretch we are in. Temps are still expected to stay in the low 80s all week and only slightly cooler this weekend.

Models call for a random shower or two on Saturday and still warm in the low 80s, but Sunday should be a hint cooler in the mid to upper 70s. You can track temperatures and those future shower chances with our Local4Casters app.
