Widely scattered showers north of Motown Thursday evening

Temps in the 80s before Sunday

DETROIT – North Zone showers across I-69 are fading away as they migrate across northern Oakland County and Port Huron. It remains very warm and muggy, for now, with temps in the mid 80s and heat indices closer to 90 degrees where its sunnier. Cooler, more comfy Thursday night.

Thursday evening will have only a few showers north of 8 Mile Road, and they will be diminishing by the minute. Temps remain in the low and mid 80s where its dry and in the 70s there is cloudier with rain-cooled air.

Thursday night will be partly cloudy and cool with lows in the low and mid 60s. Great sleeping weather, and many can give air conditioners a break.

Friday will be partly sunny and mostly cloudy in the morning. A few midday showers and sprinkles are possible, but that's it. Highs will be in the upper 70s.

Saturday and Sunday will have blue skies, and it will be warmer. Highs near 80 or more both days. Great car-wash days!

Monday and Tuesday will be mostly sunny and hotter with highs in the mid to upper 80s.

Showers don't arrive until late next week.
