Here's what is happening around the D this weekend!

The Lantern Festival in Detroit is expected to attract hundreds from around the Metro Detroit area and many will be flocking outdoors for Tour de Troit and the Night Nation Run, Saturday. Sunday belongs to the dogs in Royal Oak and free tours will be given at the Fisher building in Detroit. Check out what else is happening in the D this weekend:

Saturday

Dust off the bike seats because Tour de Troit is set to happen this Saturday in Detroit! Tour de Troit is an annual bike ride tradition which lets people explore some of the city's historic areas. The event is expected to have over 7,000 riders. Registration is still open.

The Night Nation Run, a music festival which features hundreds of runners,  this event begins at 7:30 p.m.

This weekend belongs to the bikers as Pedal to Porch joins the list of things to do this weekend and once you're all peddled out, you can relax riverside at the Jazzin' on the River party. 

Sunday

Jump back on that bike come Sunday morning with the Detroit Institute of Arts Inside-Out Bike Ride and then dance the Sunday blues away at the Islandview pop-up art parade in Downtown, Sunday night. 

It's a dog day in Royal Oak as organizers will be holding Paws in the Park!

Ever had an interest in checking out Detroit's Fisher building? Well, free 45 minute tours will be given this Sunday afternoon to those are are interested.
