4th Annual Sidewalk Festival - Sidewalk Festival is back for its 4th annual celebration of Detroit landscape and culture through performance and interactive installation! Featuring over 50 performances over 2 days, Sidewalk Festival presents radical artworks in alleys, storefronts, sidewalks, community gardens, parking lots, and the street itself.

Boss Rush Art Show Reception - In association with Offworld Arcade and Retro-Taku Video Games, Detroit Arcade Club presents: Boss Rush, a collection of the best bad guys from the best video games! Featuring over 20 local artists' interpretations of their favorite monsters, mini-bosses, miscreants, and most treacherous baddies. 

Low Down Brass Band and Detroit Pleasure Society at PJs Lager House - The Lowdown Brass Band, hailing from Chicago, is a horn-driven tour de force. From street beat to metal, the LDB brings their unique high-energy style to the Lager House on 8/4.

6th Annual Corpus Illuminata Exposition of Anatomic Interpretation (Two Nights) - Hosted at the Detroit’s Tangent Gallery, Corpus Illuminata consists of equal parts exhibition, academia and bazaar. The exhibition portion will feature numerous artistic interpretations from artists local and across the nation. 

Inner State Gallery presents Third Rail Jazz: An Evening with Lee Quinones - Lee Quinones was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico in 1960, and raised in New York City’s Lower East Side. One of the originators of street art, Lee started painting on New York City’s streets and subway cars in the 1970s. Over the next decade he would paint over 100 whole subways cars throughout the MTA system, then shift to a studio-based practice. Lee was instrumental in moving street art above the ground when he created the first handball court mural in 1978.

Historic Boston-Edison Attic Sale 2016 - One of the most anticipated events on the summer calendar is here! The 2016 Historic Boston-Edison Attic Sale will be held Saturday and Sunday, August 6 and 7 from 9 am to 4 pm both days This is your chance to get antiques, furniture (vintage & new), books, appliances, tools, paintings, clothing and so much more all spread out over 36 blocks of the breathtaking beauty of Boston-Edison.

Belle Isle Art Fair - A beautiful art fair adjacent to the stunning Scott Fountain. Perhaps the prettiest site in the state. Eighty juried artists showcase work with a focus on beauty, comfort and well being.

DBP RETURNS TO CLARK PARK! After the long awaited court repairs, our beautiful court is back. We are stoked to invite our polo family to join us for the first games of the season. Same place same time.

Michigan Comic Book Expo - The Michigan Comic Book Expo is a one day comic fandom event showcasing Comic Books, Anime, Sci Fi, Horror, Wrestling, Cosplay and all things Geek culture.

Lafayette Park Yard Sale 2016 - This year the Lafayette Park Yard Sale will be held on Saturday, August 6th, rain or shine. Like last year, the event will be held in front of Chrysler Elementary School. As usual, the fee for participating as a seller is $10 cash. Forms for signing up to participate will be available in about three weeks from now.
