Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise at The Magic Stick: An anachronism in the world of late-'90s rock & roll, Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise Surprise consists of the group's namesake, a wizened Detroit street singer, plus three relatively fresh-faced alterna-kids as a backing band.

MOCAD 10th Anniv. Saturday, Oct. 8:

3rd Annual - Motor City Gears and Beers Bike Ride in the 'D: Gears and Beers, is a bike ride through several of Detroit’s, historic neighborhoods, bars, watering holes and popular up-and-coming destinations. 

Raku Party: Experience the excitement of working with Pewabic artists to select, decorate and fire a pot. At the end of your session, you will go home with your own piece of Raku art. 

Open Studios at Hatch: During the Hamtramck Neighborhood Arts Festival, at least 5 artists will have their studios open to the public from 1 pm to 3 pm.

Historic Cemetery Walking Tours: Mt. Elliot: Join us for one of our October cemetery tours scheduled for each Saturday in October. Learn about the Detroiters who are buried in our city’s cemeteries. From J. L. Hudson to Edsel Ford, you’ll hear the stories behind the famous (and infamous) buried within Detroit’s cemeteries. Marvel at the historic architecture of the mausoleums and headstones.
