For the 4th consecutive year, Happy's Pizza joins forces with Greater Grace Temple for Happy's Coats for Kids.
This year Detroit Lions' fan favorites Nate Burleson and Stephen Tulloch will host the popular giveaway, event organizers announced.
The event will take place on Saturday, November 17th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at New Rogell Golf Course located at 18601 Berg Road in Detroit.
To kick off the charitable effort, Burleson and Tulloch met and greeted fans at the West 7 Mile and Evergreen Happy's Pizza on Tuesday, November 13th.
Vouchers redeemable for coats were passed out while supplies lasted.
With a child present for every voucher requested, parents could have also received vouchers from November 13th through 16th at Greater Grace Temple and all Metro Detroit Happy's Pizza locations while supplies lasted.
Happy Asker, founder and CEO of Happy's Pizza, said the event marks his favorite time of the year.
"Partnering with Stephen, Nate, Lomas Brown and Greater Grace is amazing," said Asker. "We love to get involved in the community as much as possible and for us, this is a nice way to kick off the holiday season and help others at the same time."
"Happy's Coats For Kids meets a great need in our community and we're always excited about the opportunity to offer a helping hand to those families that need it," said Bishop Charles H. Ellis III, Senior Pastor of Greater Grace Temple.
On Saturday, November 17th at New Rogell Golf Course, Nate Burleson, Stephen Tulloch, Lomas Brown and some of their celebrity friends will give coats to children with vouchers from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., event organizers said.
From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., children without a voucher will have an opportunity to receive a coat on a first come first serve basis while supplies last. The coats are for children ages three to14 with sizes ranging from 2T to XXLarge. However, sizes are subject to availability, event organizers said.
