DETROIT – An Earth Day spring cleanup will be held Saturday on Belle Isle.
Individuals, families and groups are invited to participate in the island-wide cleanup from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A hot dog lunch will be provided at 1 p.m.

Participants are asked to bring rakes, work gloves and other cleanup supplies, such as leaf blowers. Leaf bags will be provided.
Event registration begins at 8 a.m. at the Flynn Pavilion. Individuals, families and groups of less than 15 will register onsite; groups of 15 or more should register by emailing nowakg@belleisleconservancy.org.
The vehicle state park permit requirement will be waived for volunteers.
