Friday, May 12:

Grand Opening of the QLINE: QLINE riders will enjoy free rides for our Grand Opening May 12-14. Businesses throughout the Woodward Corridor are also celebrating the start of QLINE operations with promotions beginning May 12.

Joel McHale at Royal Oak Music Theatre: Comedian Joel McHale's show starts at 8pm.

Emo Night at The Rockery: We're excited to announce our third Emo Night! We decided to switch it up and have it at The Rockery this time around, which unfortunately it means this event will be 18+. We have raised a total of $2000 from the previous events so let's keep this going!

Downtown Mount Clemens Made in Michigan: This event is an open air show dedicated to all things Made in Michigan. Countless products are grown, manufactured, or distributed by Michigan based businesses, and we will showcase many at this new family friendly event. 

Detroit City FC v Milwaukee Torrent: Be there when Detroit City FC opens its 2017 National Premier Soccer League regular season at Keyworth Stadium vs. Milwaukee Torrent presented by Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers. Kickoff is at 7:30 PM.

Saturday, May 13:

26th Annual Komen Detroit Race for the Cure: Your registration supports finding a cure to end breast cancer forever. Seventy-five percent of the proceeds from the Susan G. Komen Detroit Race for the Cure® funds breast health education, screenings and treatment programs in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. The remaining twenty-five percent provides funding for breast cancer research and project grants awarded through Susan G. Komen.

Red Bull Hart Lines: The biggest names in skateboarding are returning to Detroit's Hart Plaza for the third edition of Red Bull Hart Lines. Contest visionary, Ryan Sheckler, and an elite roster of invited pros will take on the unique two-lane course and put their skills on the line in front of a packed Detroit crowd.

Walk to Cure Arthritis Detroit: Arthritis is the #1 cause of disability in the United States, affecting more than 50 million people. The Arthritis Foundation is committed to finding a cure for the millions of people who suffer from arthritis pain, including 300,000 children and their families.

National Arab American Service Day: Held in the spring of each year, organizations from various cities establish local partnerships and organize unique projects under the motto of “Serving Communities, Connecting People.”

6th Annual Cycle into Spring: Enjoy a pleasant pedal from the Detroit River to Eight Mile and back along the Conner Creek Greenway (CCG), nine miles of cycling infrastructure that traces the original Conner Creek and links people, parks, green spaces, neighborhoods, schools and shops. Eight miles are complete and the funds raised at Cycle into Spring will support programming and the development of the final miles of the greenway.

Sunday, May 14 (Mother's Day!):

Mother's Day Breakfast at Detroit Zoo: Moms and their families are invited to celebrate Mother’s Day at the Detroit Zoo. Mother’s Day Breakfast is held in the Wildlife Interpretive Gallery with access to the Butterfly Garden. The event features a delicious buffet breakfast, commemorative gift and the opportunity for children to make a special gift for Mom.

Gladys Knight with The Commodores: Gladys Knight returns to Detroit’s historic Fox Theatre for a special Mother’s Day headlining performance on Sunday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m. with supporting act The Commodores.

Mobb Detroit Art Exhibit: Live murals, food and music at The Baltimore Gallery. 

Happy "Mummy's" Day! Bring your “mummy” to see the King Tut exhibition on Sunday, May 14 and, in honor of the holiday, mothers get in free to both the exhibit and the museum!
