DONATE: Local 4 teams up with Red Cross to help Harvey victims

Metro Detroiters pitch in to help victims in Texas

DETROIT – The remnants of Hurricane Harvey are continuing to pour over Houston, and thousands of people have been forced from their homes.

Many people have lost everything they own and have no place to go, but 1,300 miles away in Metro Detroit, people want to help.

Local 4 has teamed up with the American Red Cross to give Metro Detroit residents a way to help the victims in Texas.

Anyone who would like to contribute can call the Help 4 Houston phone booth at 313-298-WDIV.

The phones have been ringing off the hook as Metro Detroiters make generous donations. Donations are being turned into whatever is needed to help the victims in Texas.
