The recall is due to a choking and cutting hazard from small pieces of plastic caused by a manufacturing failure at a contract manufacturer's bakery in Illinois, the company announced.

In each case affected by the recall, the code number "3098" is printed next to the best-by date on the outside of the box.

The recall was announced after consumer reports of plastic in the food.

One injury was reported as a result of the incident.

No other Entenmann's products are affected, according to the company.

Anyone who has bought any recalled product should throw it away or return it for a full refund. Consumers with questions can contact the company at 1-800-984-0989 at any time.
