In the suit, Knight claims that he had a lifetime management deal with Dr. Dre, which cut him in for 30 percent of his entertainment earnings.

Knight claims that Dr. Dre attempted to cut ties because Apple - which bought Dr. Dre's Beats headphones for $3 billion - did not want to be associated with Suge Knight.

The lawsuit also alleges that Dr. Dre and Universal hired a hit man for $300,000 to kill Knight.

Cle "Bone" Sloan, the named hit man, was one of two men Suge Knight hit with his car in a 2015 hit and run incident.
