Flashpoint 1/24/16: Crisis in Detroit Public Schools

Teachers are calling for more sick-outs and a rally is planned for Monday to support the 23 teachers named in the city’s lawsuit.

Devin Scillian was joined by Darnell Earley, Detroit Public Schools Emergency Manager and former Emergency Manager of Flint, and they discussed the crisis happening in Detroit Public Schools. The conversation continued with the panel which consisted of Stephen Henderson, editorial page director of the Detroit Free Press, Ingrid Jacques, deputy editorial page editor for The Detroit News, Sandy Baruah, president and CEO of the Detroit Regional Chamber, and Rep.
