Dive into a world of tufting with Chee in Wonderland

While this type of art looks like a challenge, ‘Chee in Wonderland’ makes it seem easy. Chelsea Johnson channels her inner creativity in a colorful type of way while also creating art that can be used as rugs. She appeared on “Live in The D” to talk all about tufting rugs and opening her own workshop called Chee in Wonderland.

For Johnson, she discovered tufting during the pandemic and she says “it just amazed me how you can make literally anything that comes to your imagination with yarn.” While she is also self taught, she was inspired to open her own workshop due to none being local.

Prior to attending her workshops, you can send her an image along with what colors you want, she will then draw the image and gather all of the supplies needed. At the workshop, you can expect how to use the tufting gun and other details needed to then make the rug.
