How often do you look at online reviews?

Do you take both positive and negative posts into consideration?

Whether it’s five stars or a negative experience, there are many different types of customer reviews that can be seen. AJ Williams, Managing Editor and City.Life.Style Editor at The Michigan Chronicle, and comedian, actor, and podcast host, J. Will appeared on “Live in the D” to talk about leaving reviews.

The topic was sparked by a women who shared a horror story experience at a hair salon on TikTok that went viral. That had the group discussing if social media is the best place to go to get response from a business. For Williams, she said, “I don’t think so.” This is because of a past experience she has had, and she said, “I think some times we just need to address it to the business.”

When it comes to leaving reviews, whether they’re good or bad, Williams does when she gets good service. She shared a positive experience with a business she had, and how she left five stars for the business for handling her experience in a good way. “I always appreciate reviews for hotels,” said Will, but he always likes to taste food for himself for restaurant reviews.

Now when it comes to checking reviews before going to a business, “I am going to check with my friends,” Williams said, while Will said he checks reviews out on TikTok.
