High winds pick up carports at apartment complex in Macomb County

Powerful winds caused damage to fences and utility poles in the area as well

Macomb County, Mich. – Local 4 got a look at some new damage in Macomb County.

Wednesday’s storm has left some carports from an apartment complex behind the homes on Pioneer Street in the area of 27 Mile Road and Van Dyke Avenue in Washington Township destroyed.

Video of the damage captured the damage as high winds picked up the carports from the apartment complex just behind the homes and left them scattered.

The powerful winds caused damage to fences and utility poles in the area as well.
