Pontiac Silverdome can be yours for $30 million

Silverdome was bought in 2009 for $583K

DETROIT – The Pontiac Silverdome is back on the market.

After being purchased for only $583,000 in 2009, the roofless and rundown former home of the Detroit Lions is up for sale, with an asking price of $30 million.

The stadium cost $55.7 million to build in 1975.

Just this week, Red Bull announced that it did an exclusive shoot with Michigan native and BMX pro Tyler Fernengel in the Silverdome.

In February, a design contest was launched to develop a plan for the storied site.
