LYON TOWNSHIP, Mich. - If you want to honor our military personnel and their K-9 partners, then you may want to help out at the Michigan War Dog Memorial clean-up project.

It's happening at the memorial site at 11 Mile and Milford Road in Lyon Township on Saturday, August 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

If you can, organizers are asking that you bring weed whackers, chain saws, wood chippers, rakes, shovels and wheel barrows.

If you can't make it for the restoration project, but would still like to help, you can send a donation to: AmVets Post 2006, P.O. Box 48, Highland, MI  48357.  Please write on the check: War Dog Memorial Fund
