Wind chills in the teens as you head out and pockets of lake effect snow are making streets very slick. Most of today, like yesterday, will be chilly with festive flakes. But occasionally we will see a snow squall making travel very challenging. Temps near 30 feeling like upper teens to low 20s.
Saturday will be chilly in the 20s with light breezes and a few flurries.
Sunday will be snowy in waves with a couple of inches likely by the time you wake up. Then a midday break, followed by heavier snow potential into the afternoon, evening, and overnight into Monday. Models are very aggressive this morning bringing 6-12" snow totals to Metro Detroit, but it's early to lock into those heavy amounts. You can at least expect a grand total of 3-6" Sunday into early Monday. We'll keep you posted often as we get closer.
