Gibson, 38, signed a 10-day contract with the Pistons last week after the New York Knicks waived him in January.

The 38-year-old, a first pick by the Chicago Bulls in 2009, spent eight seasons in the house Michael Jordan built before embarking on a journey that led him to the Detroit Pistons via the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Washington Wizards.

The savvy veteran has a career average of 8.6 points per game and 5.8 rebounds.
