DETROIT – Former Detroit Tigers slugger Prince Fielder's career appears to be over, according to reports.
Fielder, 32, has been dealing with various neck injuries since being traded from Detroit to the Texas Rangers in 2014.

According to Ken Rosenthal, the team is expected to make the announcement on Thursday.
Fielder underwent a second neck surgery in July.
Fielder played for the Tigers from 2012-2013, after signing a nine-year, $214 million contract with the team.
Fielder helped Detroit reach the World Series in 2012, but batted a 0.71 average, as the Tigers were swept by the San Francisco Giants.
Fielder is the son of former Detroit Tigers slugger Cecil Fielder.
