DETROIT – Daily Fantasy Sports is the fastest growing trend in the country right now. Just go look at the values for companies like Draft Kings and FanDuel. DFS combines two of America's most popular habits; gambling and fantasy sports. It has come on like a tidal wave. Commercials and advertisements for DFS are everywhere; sporting areas, television, radio, you name it.

Now, Yahoo has started a Daily Fantasy section on their website and it won't be long before others like ESPN follow suit. Honestly, there is just too much money to be made.

Here at Local 4 we are getting aboard the fast moving train. Every week of the NFL season we will give you some names to pay attention to when setting your DFF Lineup.

I played last year and found myself caring more about DFF than any of my other fantasy leagues. Perhaps, borderline obsessed, my wife would probably say. It's an exhilarating feeling watching your team slide up or down the rankings with every yard. It's easy to get obsessed.

Below are my picks for week one. More like suggestions. Match-ups, values, and types of games are all things we will take into account. I'll give you strategies like pairing QBs and WRs, picking Defenses and Kickers first so you know how much to spend and um…. Nope that's it those are my only strategies.

If you have a questions, comments, or suggestions, tweet me @IanRhodesWDIV.

Quarterback:

Ryan Tannehill (Mia) DK: $7,400 FD: $8,000

This is going to be a break out year for the Miami Dolphins offense. Couples that with the fact the Washington Redskins are a dumpster fire and Tannehill is a great play week 1. You will see below a Miami Dolphin at almost every position for the same reasons.

Sam Bradford (Phi) DK: $6,900 FD: $7,500

The Philadelphia Eagles offense looked like something out of a video game in the preseason. They will be going against one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Bradford has been hurt so much we forget how good he is. A healthy Sam Bradford will be a fantasy stud this year. Thankfully in DFS if he gets hurt you don't have to stick with him. Don't forget how many more plays the Eagles will run then everyone else in the NFL this year.

Tyrod Taylor (Buf) DK: $5,000 FD: $5,000

Complete Value play. Since the week one $ amounts come out early in the Preseason, Taylor was dirt cheap. He cost the same amount as guys who are even on NFL rosters. If you are playing GPP and want to spend money at every other position, Taylor is a great play. He will give you added points using his legs as well.

Running Back:

Jeremey Hill (Cin) DK: $7,100 FD: $8600

This is the cheapest you will see Jeremey Hill this season barring injury. It shouldn't shock you if he finishes as the number one back in fantasy this year. Hill will start the season against last year's worst rushing defense.

Lamar Miller (Mia) DK: $5,500 FD: $7,300

See Ryan Tannehill above. Breakout candidate, playing the Redskins, great value. I know the Redskins were good against the run last year but they are a bad football team. Their defense will be on the field a lot.

Doug Martin (TB) DK: $4,500 FD: $6,900

Another great value play here going against a bad defense. Martin looked great in preseason. The Bucs will need to lean on him with a rookie QB under center.

Wide Receiver:

Julio Jones (Atl) DK: $9,300 FD: $9,000

If you have to have one high priced stud in week one, make it Julio. If he stays healthy he could be the number one WR in football this year. No Roddy White in this game, they have serious questions at RB and as mentioned above with Bradford, their defense is bad. This will be a shootout. The first series of the preseason Jones went 4 for 64 and a TD… in one drive.

Jarvis Landry (Mia) DK: $5,600 FD: $6,900

See above Dolphins comments. Most DFS are PPR. Landry will catch a lot of short quick passes. Tannehill loves him in the Red Zone. Pairing your QB with their number 1 WR is a must. Later in the season, you will see a lot of DeVante Parker because I think he is going to be a monster, but for now Landry is the guy.

Devante Adams (GB) DK: $4,400 FD: $5,500

Remember what I said amount the amounts being set long ago. This is why you should have Adams on every DFS lineup you set this week. Now a starter in GB for the injured Jordy Nelson, Adams is a steal for the same price as guys like Michael Crabtree and Percy Harvin.

Eddie Royal (Chi) DK: $3,900 FD: $5,000

Do I think Royal has 15 over the next two years like he did the past two, no. But he did catch 91 balls his Rookie year with from Jay Cutler. They have a connection. Alshon Jeffery and Marquess Wilson are both hurt and are questionable for week one. Royal is in line for a lot of targets week 1.

Tight End:

Greg Olsen (Car) DK: $5,300 FD: $5,900

Who else does Cam have to throw to…. Anyone… nope…

Benjamin Watson (NO) DK: $2,600 FD: $4,600

Great value play. Watson will be the starting TE to start the season. He is no Jimmy Graham but Arizona is bad against TEs.

D/ST:

Dolphins DK: $3,000 FD: $ 4,700

Google Dumpster Fire. A picture of the Washington Redskins will appear. Cousins is better than RGIII but they will still turn over the ball a lot. I expect multiple sacks and INTs.

Buccaneers DK: $2,800 FD: $ 4,500

Rookie Quarterbacks start slow. The Titans are young at ever position. The Bus have a great Defensive line and will be harassing Marcus Mariota all day.
