ANN ARBOR, Mich. – When most people talk about Michigan football's secondary, the conversation starts and ends with All-American cornerback Jourdan Lewis.

During his weekly interview Thursday on the Jamie and Stoney show on 97.1 The Ticket, Harbaugh said Channing Stribling is a guy he sees playing 10 years in the National Football League. Harbaugh said Stribling has the size and athleticism that NFL teams look for.

Though the senior is rarely in the limelight, Harbaugh said Stribling was Michigan's defensive player of the week. Stribling picked off two passes and defended two more passes in the 14-7 win. Wisconsin's Alex Hornibrook challenged Stribling throughout the game, and Stribling was up to the task.
The Badgers managed just 88 passing yards in the contest. Michigan's defense would have earned its first shutout if not for an interception that gave Wisconsin a 31-yard field, which eventually resulted in a touchdown.

Michigan has already lost starting cornerback Jeremy Clark for the season, so Lewis and Stribling will carry the torch for the secondary the rest of the year. Lewis is one of the best corners in the country, so if Stribling continues to play at an NFL level, the Wolverines will see more defensive performances like Saturday's.
