Michigan football rises into top 5 in AP Poll

Spartans still ranked No. 12

For the first time since the start of 2007, Michigan football is a top five team.

The Wolverines rose from No. 7 to No. 5 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll after beating up on Hawaii, 63-3, in Week 1. Michigan is ranked fifth behind Alabama, Clemson, Florida State and Ohio State.
