Michigan women's basketball snubbed?

The team, after having one of it's best seasons in University history, did not make the cut for the NCAA tournament.

64 other teams did.

The ladies in maize and blue will instead play Kent State in the WNIT.

This is disappointing for a team that was ranked during the regular season and came in 3rd in the Big Ten.

Michigan had 22 wins this season, which tied the program record. However, the team had 9 losses with 4 of them coming at the end of the season including a first-round exit from the Big 10 Tournament.

The string of losses may have came into play in their March Madness snub.

Michigan State made the tournament after posting a 21-11 record. The Spartans were tied for 6th in Big 10 play.
