DETROIT – Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera is locked in a heated battle for the starting spot in this season's All Star Game.
Cabrera has been a mainstay on the American League roster since coming to Detroit, and this year he's neck-and-neck with Oakland first baseman Yonder Alonso in the race for a starting spot.
