DETROIT – The Detroit Tigers on Tuesday released their 2014 schedule -- with opening day set for March 31 against the Kansas City Royals.
The team's schedule will feature 81 home games and will close out the season with a six-game homestand against the Chicago White Sox and Minnesota Twins.

The Tigers welcome the Colorado Rockies for the first home Interleague series of the season August 1-3, and host the Pittsburgh Pirates August 13-14. The New York Yankees will make their only trip to Comerica Park August 26-28, while the club will close out Interleague play with a rematch of the 2012 World Series against the San Francisco Giants September 5-7.
