The Lions’ Color Rush uniform features a black jersey with blue numbers outlined in white trim, black pants with a thick blue stripe between two silver stripes and two white stripes as well as black socks.

The Color Rush uniform is the most substantial addition to the Lions uniform package since 2009 when they introduced their current look. The team permanently added a commemorative patch to the uniform in 2014 in honor of late owner William Clay Ford Sr. who passed away earlier that year.

The Lions are one of nine teams that won’t be wearing their Color Rush uniform in 2016. Some teams were not scheduled for Thursday Night Football and others are visiting teams playing in the game that will wear all white uniforms due to the color combination with the home team not being distinguishable for all viewers.
