ROYAL OAK, Mich. – Tomas Tatar locked himself out of his home Sunday, according to the Royal Oak Professional Firefighters Local 431 Facebook page.
The firefighters say Tatar is fortunate to live nearby the station as they helped the Red Wings forward get back into his home.

In return for the firefighters' help, Tatar gifted them a signed jersey.
The Red Wings will be headed out of town this week for their first-round playoff series against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Games 1 and 2 will be played this week in Tampa.
