Chance of a White Christmas?

Snowstorms heading for southeast Michigan

We have a pretty good chance for a White Christmas around much of Metro Detroit as we watch some light snow heading our way Monday afternoon and evening.

The snow will start in our southern counties first and will last for several hours. So expect light to moderate snow between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. with an inch possible.

Some areas may see a bit more than that, while others north of M59 will see little to no snow. Before the snow arrives Monday, high temps will reach mid to upper 30s.

Christmas Day looks quiet with mid to upper 30s and a few flurries. But Wednesday, another winter storm will head right for us. This one may be more impactful because we will see more snow from it and more families will be out on the roads. A bit early to tell, but it looks like we could see at least 2-3" of snow Wednesday.

Stay tuned as this snow maker evolves out west because we could see more than that.
