Dry with warmer temps Tuesday in metro Detroit

DETROIT – We’re getting a (bit of a) break from the rain.

Temperatures will still be generally below normal -- until the weekend.

Tonight, as the clouds clear out, we may see some areas of patchy fog overnight. Temperatures will drop to the low 40s by daybreak. Winds will become calm.

Tuesday forecast:

Tuesday will begin bright and we’ll see a few extra clouds in the afternoon.  That will help temperatures recover to near-normal highs for this time of year -- in the mid 60s.  We’ll stay dry Tuesday night as clouds thicken and temperatures drop to the upper 40s by sunrise.

Wednesday forecast:

Wednesday, the rain returns.  We’ll be wet for the morning commute and expect drier conditions in the afternoon.  Highs will be cooler, only reaching the upper 50s.

Weekend forecast:

After another cool but dry day Thursday, we finally get some warmth back in the D!

Temperatures will get to near 70 on Friday with plenty of sunshine (do you feel the flu coming on? *cough*, *cough*).

Saturday, temperatures will reach the mid-and-upper 70s!  And we’re keeping our eyes on our next system which should arrive Saturday night.
