Metro Detroit weather: Foggy start, cold front coming with rain

Highs in the mid 80s

DETROIT – A Dense Fog Advisory for areas along and north of I-69 into the Thumb Region this Monday morning. This includes St. Clair and Lapeer Counties and north through 10am as visibility will be reduced to near zero at times this morning. The rest of Metro Detroit will see patchy fog through the mid morning and then plenty of sunshine. Highs will reach back into the low and maybe mid 80s with less humidity and light winds ENE 5-10 mph.

The fog advisory expires at 10 a.m.

Fog will likely be a nuisance again tomorrow morning through the morning hours. The rest of the day looks nice as we await a cold front late in the day or into Wednesday. That front will spark showers and storms Tuesday evening and overnight. Before that, mostly sunny to partly sunny with highs in the mid 80s without the heavy humidity.

Wednesday is moving day with scattered rain and thundershowers in the morning and midday as highs could stay in the mid to upper 70s. It all depends on the speed of the cold front moving through. There’s a chance we still see 80 degrees Wednesday but a nice cool down is coming. Thursday and Friday will be very comfortable with lows in the 50s and highs only in the 70s.
