Foggy start Tuesday, warmer weather coming

The sun will start piercing through haze and fog and eventually we will see high temps around 80 degrees

DETROIT – The fog has been stubborn this morning but it will be lifting through the afternoon.

The winds are picking up and that alone will help to clear out the haze. Still, expect hazy sunshine to mostly sunny skies today with highs in the upper 70's to near 80 degrees. Winds will be SW 10-20 mph with an occasional stronger gust.

Look for a little patchy fog again on Wednesday morning with lows in the mid to upper 50s. Some suburbs will be a bit cooler in the upper 40s and that's usually where we see the thickest fog. Fog prone areas beware. Afternoon sun tomorrow will warm us into the upper 70's once again. A few neighborhoods could see 80 degrees.

Rain showers with isolated thunder will be here late morning Thursday and last through the middle part of the day.

In fact, we may see a few lingering showers early Friday before we start to clear out. There's another chance for showers and storms Saturday afternoon or evening. Right now, the computer models are hinting more towards later in the day but a lot can change between now and then.
