DETROIT – A small break from the rain will move across part of the area for some of our trick-or-treaters, but plan for rain and hope for the best, as there still will be some scattered pockets of light rain in the area, and it's going to be windy.
A High Wind Warning goes into effect from midnight to 10 a.m. for Sanilac, Lapeer and Genesee Counties, and Wind Advisory for the rest of the Metro Area.

Those in the warning area could see wind gusts approaching 60 mph overnight into early Friday morning, while areas further south have the potential for 50 mph gusts.
Since there are still leaves on many trees, this poses a bigger target for the wind, with the potential for some branches to come down and cause power outages.
High winds will still be around for kids at the morning bus stops, but then start to calm down as the day progresses. Friday morning will start partly cloudy as a slot of dry air behind the overnight cold front passes through. Clouds will then increase, and we have the chance for some afternoon showers.
Temperature-wise, we'll start the day with temps in the mid to upper 40s (colder to the west, and warmer to the east), and only see a small rise into the low to mid 50s during the day.
As for the big Michigan–Michigan State game Saturday in East Lansing, morning and early afternoon showers should tend to diminish around game time. Hopefully not much rain will be seen during the game. Temps will be in the 40s.
