Metro Detroit forecast: Light rain with temps in the 30s
Brandon Roux, Meteorologist
Fog and light rain showers around this Tuesday morning around Metro Detroit with temperatures in the mid to upper 30s as you head out.
The showers and fog will be scattered and light, lingering through about 10am and then just cloudy for the rest of your day. Highs will only move a few degrees into the low 40s with the lack of any sun today and light winds WNW 5-12 mph.
Wednesday wet weather will come at different times and in different forms. We will see light rain spreading in through the mid-morning with a few areas west and north of Detroit getting a little sleet and/or a few wet snowflakes. Then, scattered and light rain showers coming and going through tomorrow afternoon with highs climbing back into the mid 40s. Keep the umbrella handy, but there will not be an all-day deluge by any means. Dry air will be cutting into the rain with winds SE 5-12 mph.
Winter is slowly creeping back into SE Lower Michigan as we head into Thursday and Friday. Thursday may start with a wintry mix, but should change to light snow showers with breezy conditions and temps falling from near 40 degrees to the mid 30s in the afternoon and winds WSW 10-20 mph. Cooler 20s and low 30s Friday and Saturday with snow showers likely that could throw down a quick coating around Metro Detroit through the weekend.
