DETROIT – What a holiday weekend. I’ve always said that you should realistically hope for nice weather on two out of three days of a three-day holiday weekend. Getting three out of three is living large. And have amazing temperatures on all three is just pie in the sky. So the natural question to ask is: How long can this possibly last? The answer is simple: it won’t.
Monday night will feature mostly clear skies and, with higher humidity heading toward our area, low temperatures won’t fall as much, bottoming out in the upper 60s (that’s 20 degrees Celsius for our Canadian friends). Southeast to south wind is expected at 4 to 8 mph.

Highs expected in the upper 80s (32 degrees Celsius), but the humidity will make it feel like mid 90s (35 degrees Celsius). South-southwest wind at 8 to 13 mph. Tuesday’s sunrise is at 7:04 a.m., and Tuesday’s sunset is at 7:58 p.m.

It will be partly cloudy on Friday, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms toward evening (I’ll need to keep an eye on this for our Friday evening high school football games). That rain better hold off, as I’ll be completing my twelfth consecutive month of Michigan golf at a very special place. I’ll fill you in later in the week. Highs in the 80s (27 degrees Celsius).
It looks like we have a chance of showers and thunderstorms at least for the first half of our Saturday, with skies becoming partly cloudy during the afternoon. Highs are expected in the upper 70s (26 degrees Celsius). Obviously, this has important implications for our college football games on Saturday. I’ll keep you posted.
