Metro Detroit weather: Temperatures drop below freezing

High temperatures in 30s this weekend

DETROIT – There’s no been no shortage of quick changes in the weather department this week, and now the "roller coaster" is heading toward another valley, which will result in overnight lows dropping to the teens and low 20s. Skies will clear out somewhat Thursday night.

Temperatures won’t make it out of the 20s on Friday. After some sunshine in the morning, clouds will increase throughout the day. Even with just a light wind, it will feel like the teens.

The weekend in Metro Detroit looks dry. More clouds will be around Saturday than Sunday, but temperatures will only get back to near average with highs in the 30s for both days.

Next week is looking mild again. In fact, every day from Monday through the weekend will bring highs in the 40s.

It’s a mostly dry stretch, too, with our most likely chance of rain arriving Tuesday.
