Mix of rain and sunshine over weekend

DETROIT – The weekend is finally here!  We finished today with a good deal of sunshine, but warmer temperatures are on their way.

Tonight, skies will be mostly clear. Temperatures will be even cooler than last night, with lows in the upper 20s to mid 30s. And with light winds, expect fog to spread across the area late tonight, lasting through early Saturday morning.

Sunshine is back on the menu for Saturday after the fog burns off. Temperatures will be about 10 degrees warmer, too…. near 60 for daytime highs.

Sunday will feature more clouds and area-wide rain, mainly in the afternoon. It will spreading across the region from south to north. So expect the drops to start falling near the state line by mid-to-late morning, gradually getting everyone wet by lunchtime. That will keep high temperatures in the mid 50s

Next week looks warmer, at least to start. High temperatures will return to the 60s both Monday and Tuesday. Then we’ll cooldown closer to average for the remainder of the week.
