DETROIT – Plenty of 60s to start your Thursday but it feels a bit warmer out there today.
Some hazy sun early with highs quickly getting into the mid and maybe upper 80s through the early afternoon. An approaching cold front will increase cloud cover and shower and storm chances after lunch. We could see some decent gushing showers, but nothing severe expected. Showers and storms will be scattered through the afternoon and evening. Some of you may not see a drop.
Showers chances linger into Friday and Saturday but confidence is not real high on anything wide spread. There’s another cold front Friday night into early Saturday that brings a few isolated showers Friday and rain likely early Saturday… especially near the Ohio border as that front passes. So right now, it looks like partly sunny skies Friday with an isolated shower or two with highs only in the low 80s.
Saturday morning rain could stall in our southern counties and then partly cloudy with low 80s. More and more Sunday into Monday with a slow warm up heading into next week. Make sure you download the Local4Casters app with radar and storm updates, so you’re prepared all summer long.
