Stubborn cold, wind continues to blast metro Detroit

Wind chills are -5 to -15 degrees

DETROIT – Scattered lake effect snow showers could produce a bit more snow this afternoon.

A Wind Chill Warning begins at noon today and will last all the way  through Wednesday.

Temps are falling all day with wind chills this afternoon between -10 to -20 degrees or colder.

More cold air Tuesday with morning lows around -10 degrees and the wind chills will be extremely dangerous around -30 degrees tomorrow.

Highs will struggle to get into the positive single digits. We will have a bit more sun and brutal wind chills once again between -15 to -30 degrees most of the day.

Our Wind Chill Warning expires at noon on Wednesday but it will still be bitterly cold.

The winds will relax enough to make things a bit more manageable.

We urge you all to be careful driving, shoveling, and getting through the next few days. Check on those neighbors and don't forget the pets.
