Rain comes and goes throughout metro Detroit on Wednesday

DETROIT – Rain showers coming and going through the mid morning and afternoon.

The Advisory area north of Detroit may not see a complete switch to rain until lunch and beyond.

The quicker we see rain, the safer the conditions will be. Just be careful driving, especially if you are heading north today.  Temps do warm into the 50s through the afternoon with rain, isolated thunder, and gusty winds SW 15-25 mph.

Colder air sinks in tonight and overnight with a few chances of light snow Thursday.

Temps tomorrow in the mid 30s to low 40s with cloudy skies and scattered snow showers. Winds will still be a bit pesky and cooler NW 10-17 mph.

Opening Day for the Tigers will be chilly. Tailgaters will feel upper 20s to low 30s through the morning. Highs may hit 40 or slightly warmer if we get a few hours of afternoon sun and clouds. But, be prepared mainly for 30s and a few flurries.

Another round of fast moving snow Friday night will exit early Saturday but may leave some flurries and even cooler conditions Saturday.
