ANN ARBOR – Put on your raincoats and head over to the Grizzly Peak Brewing Company on Washington St. on Tuesday at 6 p.m. for a one-of-a-kind Ann Arbor pub crawl.

Grizzly Peak, Arbor Brewing Company and Blue Tractor BBQ and Brewery are celebrating their recent collaboration for brewing Scarlet Jacket, a post-WWII pub ale. Each brewery brewed their own batch, and the recipe was taken from recently closed Tetley's, a British brewery dating back to the 1800s.

"We each brewed a version of the beer we’re calling Scarlet Jacket," explained Grizzly Peak's head brewer Duncan Williams. "We got the recipe from a website called 'Shut Up About Barclay Perkins' that researches beer history and recreates beer recipes. Folks will be able to try each brewery's version of the beer, and the brewers will be on-hand to answer questions."

Convinced yet?

Pub crawl times

Grizzly Peak: 6 - 6:40 p.m.

Arbor Brewing Co.: 6:45 -7:30 p.m.

Blue Tractor: 7:35 - 8:15 p.m.

So get out there and meet some local brewers and taste their creations. It'll be worth toughing the weather, though by the time you're through, you probably won't care that it's cold and rainy outside. Cheers!
