Meet Michigan Football legend Braylon Edwards at Literati Bookstore Nov. 14

Edwards, ESPN’s Tom VanHaaren coming to Ann Arbor for book signing

ANN ARBOR – Michigan Football great and former NFL Pro Bowler Braylon Edwards and ESPN reporter and Michigan native Tom VanHaaren are coming to Ann Arbor for a book signing event.

Fans will get the chance to meet the co-authors at Literati Bookstore on Nov. 14 at 7 p.m.

The book, titled “Braylon Edwards: Doing It My Way: My Outspoken Life as a Michigan Wolverine, NFL Receiver, and Beyond,” offers an inside look into football life from college ball to the NFL.

While at the University of Michigan, Edwards became the first receiver ever in the Big Ten Conference to finish three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons. He was also recognized as a unanimous All-American.

Edwards went on to play in the NFL for the Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks.

According to a press release, highlights from the book include:

  • What it means to wear #1 at Michigan, and what it took to earn the jersey.
  • How Edwards learned from his mistakes, with insights on his DUI, trouble with the media and the controversy surrounding his departure from the Big Ten Network.
  • Behind the scenes at the biggest moments in Edwards career, including the 2004 comeback against MSU, the Draft Day call from the Browns and the trade to the Jets.
  • Anecdotes from a football life, taking readers inside the locker room at the Big House, with the Browns, in New York and more.
