ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Michigan Wolverines have landed 2026 four-star safety Jordan Deck.

Deck became the 22nd commitment in the class of 2026 for the football program on Wednesday (July 16).

The Lone Star High School standout was initially committed to the Baylor Bears since June 24, 2025, but decided to take his talents to The Big House.

Deck visited Ann Arbor on June 13 before officially visiting Baylor on June 20, so the flip seems to be out of nowhere.

Officials say the 6’1″, 190-pound star is a big-framed safety prospect who offers past ball production and striking ability.

Deck’s physical tools and functional athleticism provide consistent tackling skills.

He gets downhill quickly and arrives with purpose, setting the tone as a striker when a big hit is available.

Decker’s size and frame enable him to align as a box defender, creating opportunities for blitzes.

He also runs the alleys effectively and is more than willing to crash against the inside run game.

Deck comes from a strong athletic pedigree, with two siblings who played Division I basketball.

He could contribute early on special teams, particularly on coverage and block units.

He projects as a P4-caliber safety with the size and play style that could allow some back-seven flexibility as a part-time off-ball linebacker in specific packages.

Deck’s physical tools and athleticism suggest significant long-term developmental potential for head coach Sherrone Moore and defensive coordinator Wink Martindale.
