The Louisa County High School standout visited Ann Arbor on June 13 and from the looks of head coach Sherrone Moore and offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey made a great impression on him as he will be taking the field inside the Big House in 2026.
Reports indicated that Hiter built strong relationships with the coaching staff and their run-first offensive scheme.
Officials say the 5’11.5″, 200-pound star built a relationship with 2025 five-star recruit and potential starter in quarterback Bryce Underwood, whose birthday is on Aug. 19.
This is the first time in Michigan football history that they have landed the No. 1 quarterback and the No. 1 running back, according to reports.
Hiter is a potential star for a College Football Playoff contender that has burst, power, agility, balance, and supreme vision.
He is effective as both an inside and outside runner, as he’s quick with fast feet, allowing him to side-step trouble.
The Mineral Virginia running back chose Michigan over Ohio State, Tennessee, Georgia, Oregon, and 20+ others.
As a high school junior, Hiter rushed for 1,698 yards.
Savion Hiter committed to Michigan today, on what is Bryce Underwood’s 18th birthday. Now they are poised to be teammates. https://t.co/OsNwozTsWi pic.twitter.com/Bq2QvK0ho0
