ANN ARBOR, Mich. – A potential Michigan Wolverines head coach issued a statement following his bowl game victory.
On Tuesday (Dec. 23), Louisville Cardinals head coach Jeff Brohm celebrated his team’s victory after taking down the Toledo Rockets 27-22 in the Boca Raton Bowl down in Florida.

During his postgame presser, Brohm, when asked about the rumors bubbling around him and Michigan, said, “I don’t speak on other jobs. I’m happy with this one and happy about the victory, and we’re going to enjoy that.”

Rumors started circulating that the University of Michigan and he discussed the possibility of him fulfilling the role as their 22nd head coach in football program history.
Before the Michigan rumors started swirling, Brohm was said to be a potential target to replace James Franklin at Penn State, but reports indicated he turned down the job.
If the rumors are true and Brohm, a native of Louisville, decides to take the lead job at Michigan, he would bring along his 28-12 record spanning three years at his alma mater.
Prior to Louisville, Brohm was 36-34 at Purdue University (26-25 in the Big Ten), where he faced the Wolverines in the 2022 Big Ten Championship.
He also coached at Western Kentucky, winning 30-10 (19-5 C-USA), leading them to conference championships during his tenure.
