2 charged in West Bloomfield church break-in

WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. – Two people have been arrested and charged in connection to a break-in at the Saint Thomas Chaldean Church on Maple Road in West Bloomfield.

The break-in happened Tuesday morning and police released photos of the three people who were inside the church.

West Bloomfield police say the family of one of the arrested men is somehow involved with the church.

Rani Dawoud, 30, of West Bloomfield, and 43-year-old Dean Buchs, of Detroit, both have been charged with safe breaking and breaking-and-entering. They were arraigned on the felony charges Friday afternoon.
